Kim sang background as one of the Big Dogs from the fall of '96 till late '97. Soon after she moved to Georgia with her husband, country performer Cledus T. Judd, Kim decided that the trek from Georgia to Nashville was a little too far to make on a regular basis, so she regretfully gave up her role as a Big Dog). She always brings her special zeal for life and her sense of humor (not to mention her warm and exciting voice) to the live show.
